Ok, this may not have direct impact on me... at least not at this moment.
It got nothing to do with my work or personal life, but I am ponders over the current financial screw up at this moment. It Friday today and so far it have been one bad news after another. Big financial players merging with one & another in order to survive and possibly try to ride through the storm.
Started off the week Lehman Brothers' filing for bankruptcy protection. So many employee could suffer where thousands of worker potentially goes into the unemployment statistics. Wondering what next for them...
Then back home, reported overall unemployment rate rose for a second consecutive quarter to 2.3 per cent in preliminary estimates for the period between April and June amid economic uncertainties. A decline in the main exports for the fourth straight month has raised the risk falling into a technical third-quarter recession, so said a analyst:)
Couple of days ago, US federal just decided to use 83b of taxpayer money to bail out AIG... it sure send some ripple across the world, where panic AIA policy holders began to surrender their policy, willing to forgo their saving and attempt to cut short any potential "total lost". Panicky act, but who could blame them???
Today, a friend of mine send me an article, citing the close resemble of the sequence of event leading thru the Great Depression in the early 30s, that hit worldwide financial world big time. I do not know exactly how true this information is, but 1 thing I do aware of is the fact that if it hit us this time, it gonna hit us really bad.
Finally, another article... go read it,

Scary to see such big chunk of investment din goes the way it should be... wondering who is the biggest loser here???
What lies ahead sure looks pretty bleak
