A sad sign?

Sigh... after an entire day of workout, not in the gym but cleaning up my new apartment, I am now aching all over. From the stiff necks, heavy arms, aching back and strain legs, it worse than my gym routine. Wondering if this is a sign of old age or serious lack of exercise for the past 6 over months. I choose to think the latter:p

My new apt, located in Sharjah now. Pretty decent for the price, high rise stuff, though partially nice view. If not for the building in front, would have a good view over the sea. But in any case, still get to see the night lights in Sharjah.

The cleaning was tough, and I suppose to stay alone here for this time being, it a tall order. I mean after 1 session of cleaning yesterday, can't imagine myself have to do it on a regular basis till my missus come over. So now toying an idea to employ a part time maid.

Guess I much have the following prerequisite
1. Single, but dun mind to have a part time boyfriend:p
2. Pretty... a MUST

Hahaha....

Btw, the apt now is pretty empty, since I only got some really BASIC stuff. So with the spares available, it looks really empty. Think I need to get more things (or possibly gals) to fill up the place. Here's some glimpse of my empty apt.

Holy Month Ahead

Just received a mail from my AO, stating the holy month ahead, there will be revise working hour. Technically, it will be from 0830 - 1430hr. Mind you... this is only theoretically and "official" timing, since we are working in this region, so it sort of a law for all company to practice it.

But practically, I dun think it is possible, considering the fact that the world dun stop turning just because some holiday coming. Neither would there be any chance that our customer will stop or shorten the operational hours in the oilfield. So meaning... it just B.A.U. for me. No diff at all

But the coming month poised my greatest challenge yet. Becos apparently, there will be no restaurant be open during the day time, so meaning my lunch will be a big question mark. Unless I cook myself, provided I get my apt REAL soon. So hopefully I can get it within the next few days:) Wish me luck...

Just for info, the last time I went over to select my apt, only to be rejected cos I will be staying alone. And reasons why single are rejected is interesting... Cos worry that I will be a bad influence to my neighbor and potential threat to them, ulterior motive towards their wife. So landlord dun want single to stay there. This is so...

So sad... or maybe just sian lah

Me so sianzzz…. This morning, while I was still hoping to get my return flight to Singapore confirmed, me received the call that changes everything. My boss just called me and requested me to stay for another week, to carry out some task here. So meaning instead of sleeping on the SG flight at this moment, I am writing this entry and eating my very late dinner in the hotel room, instant noodle.

So another week for me to stay around here to get some things done and at the same time, continue my house hunting… provided my boss approved the newly revised budget:p It not really a case that I dun like here, but it just that maybe I am still have some admin stuff to be done back in Singapore before I fully commit myself here. So every now and then, I do wish to get back home soon. Ok… this is no homesick. A matter of fact, I do look forward to the challenge here.

Also the food here… overwhelming for my “delicate” taste bud, except for the instant noodles. Makan in the restaurant or makan place out there, the chef tend to go hard on the salt and spices, and for me whom prefer something light (in term of taste, not quantity, I really have a hard time getting use to the taste. So gotta work hard on the house hunting then it would allows me to do my own cooking in future.

Bad Egg!!!

Finally, recovered from my food poisoning. Suspect the culprit is that 4 weeks old egg that I added in my instant noodle supper on Sunday night:p Ok, I noe som might wonder what the hell am I doing with the 4 weeks old egg, when I should had disposed it 2 weeks ago. Com’on, me just trying my luck lah. See if my supposed well trained tummy could tahan or not, and it proven NOOOOO!!!!:p

Luckily it a just a mild case of food poisoning, else I would not noe how long can I go thru it. Almost wanted to zzz in the toilet on that fateful night. I mean, I am just trying to save the unnecessary trip to & fro from the bedroom mah:p

Ok.. lesson learnt… no more old egg in future!!!

Show Room

It sure feels very different. I mean, returning back to a house knowing that my wifey would not be home. Sigh… damn sian lah. But lifes still gotta goes on, so started the night by tidying up some stuff. Did some house chores and even “shut down” our master bedroom toilet:p Trying to minimize the places to clean, since I will be the only one doing so for the next two years. After which, I will “hand over” the duties to her when she is back, for a period of two years:p Don’t think she will be agreeable with this arrangement:p

Had a chat with my colleague this morning and mentioned bout the lousy mood over the weekend and he siadit normal to feel this way... & it might takes about 1-2 weeks to get use of been alone in a house. So here it goes again...

My ID called me up this afternoon, informing me that he had found a nice looking table lamp so arranging to meet up with me. Just as I wonder why not just send me a picture instead, so the actual agenda is that he would like to bring a potential client of his to our place for viewing, so asking me for permission to do so.

Hahaha… me so proud of our new place, can become a show room liow but at the same time, I think I should considering charging entry fees for every visit in future:p

Another long absence…. Cos been bz with my ROM preparation. As planned, we had it at our new place. Just invited our immediate families, some close friends and a fair number of KIDS. The whole thing of solemnization was a pretty much short & simple affair … but I can still manage to make a fool of myself:p Being simple, I mean I just have to answer “I do” when necessary, but at the beginning portion I simply forgot to do that… all I did was just quietly sit there, looking at him blankly… it was until he (JP) signal me that I realize I need to say something.

Of cos, at the end of the ceremony, goes with some simple buffet stuff. So glad that the kids simply loves those fried food & desserts that we have catered. They even left their marks behind… bits of crump around the floors and pieces of ice cream wrap at some not so obvious locations. BUT best of all, some of them left their pugilist arts behind on my ever so proud mirrors… We have “Ru Lai Shen Zhang”, “Xiang Long Shi Ba Zhang” and also some “Hua Gu Mian Zhang”. This palms sure keeps me pretty occupy after the whole event!!!

But overall, I truly enjoy the company of my friends and sure hope they had enjoyed their as well.. And of cos, thank you for your Ang Baos...

Another long absence from this blog… well, apart from work (which took a fair bit of my time, including some weekends), been rather occupied doing up my new house. After months of hassles… from finalizing the design you want, to selection of furniture, then color, and just like our life, being never perfect, sure have something coping up here and there. The most hassle part was dealing with existing defects, that sure took us a while before sort it out… of cos, it involves some form of really hard handling in those issues:p

And finally, it all up and running!!! Below are some of the pictures, not very well taken but just to gives you folks a glimpse of my place.

As all may noe, new flats these days are pathetically small, so imagine, this is suppose to be an EA flat, but look at it. Damn small. Sigh… but ok lah, considering I will be staying alone for the “short” period to comeJ but if anyone out there do have any lobang or potential tenant, do keep me posted. Pre-requisite as follows;

1. No older than me
2. Only SINGLE females need apply
3. Models, Air Stewardess are added advantage
4. Only 1 vacancy available

Hahaha… let my missus sees this… I’m Dead!!!

Btw, was over at Songkhla over the weekend. & No!!! It not to visit my alternate family here. Again, tasted some local snacks, like this things call “Patong Gor”. It looks some like our “you cha kueh”, but a mini version. Tasted slightly different too. And just like any thai snack, it always sweet. So this “Patong Gor” would goes with “San Kat Ya”, something like kaya, but much sweeter.

Cost??? Patong Good is 1baht/pc but san kat ya is sold separately @5baht/pack. But me manage to have it for free. Me bought just 3 piece of this Patong Gor, but given 2 more for free. Then the hawker gave me a small mini pack of San Kat Ya for free too. Tasted nice, if you have a sweet tooth but for me, think I still to the original stuff without the San Kat Ya:)
